So I have this BTA I acquired from another member and I know he was wandering all over their tank. Since I have gotten him he literally spends every day in new spots and will regularly pump himself up and float to new parts of the tank. He even spent a week "underground" in the dark completely under a rock ledge which was a bit annoying since my little maroon clown decided to go with him.

I realize this is normally a sign of stress. My problem is I have the exact same type of BTA from the exact same place and the exact same size and this one has not moved a single time and appears to be pleased as pie with his location and surroundings.

It is really wild because the wanderer occasionally heads back over and sits with the content one on the same rock and it looks like one giant anemone.

I don't believe it is the clown stressing it because he splits his time 50/50 between the two.

Should I try heavily feeding it or is it possible some just do not ever settle in?

ive heard that they will float around till they find their favorite spot. it can take a while for them to find the sweet spot. lol give it some time. it may also be that he tries to settle and the clowns wanna tag along. and it doesnt get to seat itself.

The original nem may be sending out chemicals signaling the other one that it is his turf and to get away. The second one may keep trying to get away, but is stuck in the confines of your tank.
