    Hey GIRS!

So, I will be moving the end of Spring/beginning of Summer to the Kansas City area. Does anyone have a recommendation of fish stores or saltwater people I need to get in contact with? Does anyone know if there is a saltwater club in the Kansas City area? (Hoping for one that is at least 1/2 as good as GIRS.)

I will definitely miss all the people that I have met here on GIRS. The help has been invaluable. I would not have been 1/10 as successful with my tanks without you guys! I will still be around, on the site, hopefully. I have family here in the area so hoping to "see the family" during springfest and fall fests or to pick up some corals. lol

Thanks again for all your help everyone!

    Pete

P.S. Do let me know if there is a salt club in the Kansas City area. Need somewhere to get good quality frags from. LOL.

P.S.S. Since I am moving, I will have some stuff available for sale. I have a 55 gallon mixed reef. Several corals. Some are coming to my springfest table but I will have more available. If you are looking for live rock with corals on it or corals in general hit me up. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif

    Thanks. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

I am planning on staying a GIRS member. (Hope to be making it to the fests in the future still.) However, will be a bit tougher to do much outside of the forums.

As for a Chiefs fan. ..... That will never happen. Green and gold run way too deep in my veins. lol.

I am also moving to KC, I'll be down in June. There is a reef club down there, I forget the name of it, but I use to be a member before moving to DSM.
KC has some decent LFS, some are outrageous on price however.
    - Picasso (to expensive for me) Overland Park
    - Paradise Aquatics (also expensive, but had nice stuff last i was in there, about 6 years ago now) Overland Park, about 1/2 mile from Picasso
    - Aquariums Whole Sale (this was my favorite store when I lived there) Olathe

When I google "fish store" for KC or overland park ks I get a bunch of results for places I have never been to.

If you ever want to meet up shoot me a TXT

I was down there visiting last year and found no real great places to buy. I would think there is a great club down there, but most of the Reef stores are way to pricy and didn't look very good. Maybe when you become a local you can find out more down there.

here is a link to the KC reef club, I hope the mods don't mind me linking other clubs. This isn't the one I was a member of, I'll have to dig around and find the name of mine. The people in KC are pretty much like Iowan's, very friendly for the most part.

I'll also be a spring fest if you wan't to meet up and chat there some time.

Paradise Aquatics has a nice assortment of fish and corals and a huge tank that is fun to take a look at.
