I got a small RBTA anemone at Fall Fest from Casey. It was attached to the lobos I got from him. I've had it in my 15 gallon tank since then. A few days ago it finally moved from the base of the lobos to the base of a frag of colt cauliflower leather. Then I did a couple days of lights out, and now it moved to setting on my Koralia 425. I turned off the Koralia this morning as I don't want it sucked into the koralia. Its just right on the edge where the water is sucked in. How do get it to move so that I can turn the Koralia back on??

you can see if you can get under its foot and pick it off or if there in a spot you dont want it point a power head at it. most of the time it will move on its own. good luck!!

Janet just put your finger nail under its foot and pry it up a little at a time it should start coming off use a little pressure that should work

I it's flat an algae scraper will work easy. If its foot is inside a crevice I have never been able to get them.

Ok - so I'm trying the powerhead method first. Its a gentle powerhead. I pointed it at it this morning. So far nothing.

The fingernail method won't work for me either - as I play the piano - so my nails are cut shorter than most of you guy's nails. LOL.

Is it bad for an anemone to be out of water? i.e. - if I take the powerhead out of the water to try the other methods of removing it???

I have heard if you take the "rock" with an anemone out and hang it upside down so that just the tentacles touch the water, they let go to fall back in. So you can catch him in a bucket. I have not tried. Just heard about it.
