What is best for Growth on corals? 10k,14k or 20k?
I have 20k on my MH now and need to replace them soon. I am figuring out should I go with 20k again or 14k like most do?
    Thanks
    Kyle

10K is best for growing but I find they make the water look yellow. I prefer the look of 20k but I feel with 14k you get good growth and realistic color.

Indeed, the lower the kelvin, the better the growth. I ran 14 k on my mh, until I got the AI's. Never go back to MH.  14 k is the best of both worlds. Great color, and growth. Gl

Defiantly, you'll also be able to grow more algae with a 65K bulb[IMG]  Personally I like the 12K reeflux bulbs, with the luxcore ballast I can get anywhere from a 10K to a 20K color out of them by varying the wattage.

Agreed that the lower the kelvin, the better the growth. However, tank depth and how high above the tank needs to be factored in....In other words, PAR :-0)
