I came home last Thursday to 25 gallons of coral soup. Apparently my heater super heated the tank and killed everything.

    Death list:
8 year old yellow watchman goby
    3 chalice colonies
    2 favia colonies
    4 colonies of choice zoanthid
1 vary large colony of green palythoas
    4 colonies of Acans
    Boxer crab
    2 sexy shrimp
    1 fire shrimp

Needless to say I was pissed when I came home to that.
    Stealth heater was the cause.

I have a 40 gallon with everything but a stand. Once I find a stand I will start a new build.
I've been in this hobby for seven years and and this was devastating. I may do a FOWLR. I don't think I want to do a reef tank again.
I wasnt aware the stealth was recalled.

I'm not sure I remember how to start a tank. Its began seven years since I started a tank from scratch.

Ouch. Been there. Hated it. In my case I awoke Christmas morning to the lovely smell of clam chowder. Too bad it was the tank.

I upgraded to a Titanium heater with separate temp sensor after that.

I wish you the best restoring things.

That sucks dude. I def would stay away from marineland heaters and use 2 smaller heaters to help prevent this. Sorry to hear!!
