Looking to hire fishtank help in Boone Area

    I hope I am posting this in the right spot - if not please let me know and I will move it
    OK, I  have a 100 gallon reef tank and really know nothing about it.  I
    would like to hire someone around the Boone area to help me learn what
    I have and what I need to know.  I had a guy that used to come in every
    week and clean my tank - he took care of everything.  The problem is -
    he has disappeared - I have not been able to reach him for over 2 1/2
    months!! My tank is not in good shape because of this, and I am at a
    complete frustration level with it!  I loved my tank and would like to
    see it come back to a beautiful thing - not what it is now!!   I
    thought I might start here because I am a member of GIRS.  If there is
    anyone out there that can help or knows someone who can - please let me
    know!

    Hi Jeanette,
    We will help you learn it. A good start, if you can make it, is the water quality meeting this Thursday at my office in Clive. If you can't make it I would be happy to stop by on my way home and take a look. I can a least tell you the general maintenance that needs to be done right away. If you want a reef tank you need to learn these things. That is what we are here for, to help everyone learn, including ourselves. It would be really hard for a once a week "guy" to come in and maintain a reef tank for an extended period. I am on a business trip now but I will back for Thursdays night meeting, so this weekend would be a good time to get things moving in the right direction again.
