Looking for a coral to be the GIRS 2021/22 grow out contest coral. If you have an SPS colony that is relatively hardy and fast growing and can be cut into approximately 20 equal frags message me.

I wish I had colonies that size! I’m excited for the next grow out. Can’t wait to see what it is!

I will do the contest if we do an acan.

I wish I could keep acans. Still trying to boost my nutrients but I guess that’s a trade off for no algae

Spot feeding makes a world of difference in lower nutrient systems for Acans.

These started as 1-3 head acans and grew to this size in 6 months with spot feeding.

What are you spot feeding them? How often? What time of day?

I feed each mouth/head with a chunk of LRS two to three times a week. I would estimate that it is equivalent to feeding each head a piece of mysis two to three times a week. Any time of day.
