Looking for glass

Does anyone know where to get 5/16 thick pieces of glass around Cedar Rapids area

You'll probably have to go to one of the custom glass shops like CR Glass. All the local hardware stores (ace, lowes, hd, menards) I've checked only carry thin sheets (around 1/8").

It's all special order. They don't cut thick glass, think they said 3/8 is thickest they do

 

I had a piece of 1/4 cut yesterday at allied glass they should have 5/16 all you have to do is call with your measurements and they will cut it to the size you need.

 

I picked up a 60 cube for free from my LFS if had the bottom pane checked and a chip out of one corner. I'm having a hard time finding 5/16 glass(icould get 1 24x24 for 110$ not going to happen)think I could use 1/4 in glass for the bottom and a side and euro brace the1/4 side to keep from bowing. Our plan b make nice glass shelf.
