Lightning took out AC3 this morning!, Who has one for sale?

    At 4:30 this morning a lightning strike sat both my wife and I straight up. Didn't realize until later that it took out my Ac3 and wireless router.
    Does anyone have an AC3 for sale? I should just need the head unit.

    do you have renters or homeowner inshurance will pay for it

    Unless it took out more than just the AC3 and router, I'm sure it wouldn't even be worth paying the deductible for. After all, most insurance companies are going to a %age based deductible based on the value of your home (usually around 1%)...so the deductible could be $1500 to much more...

    If you can't find one, let me know. I have an AC3 running on my system as secondary controller. It's just the head unit, so it doesn't control anything and taking it off would have no impact. You can borrow it until you get yours replaced if you want.

    Ya $500 dollar deductible, not worth submitting.
    Thanks AJ, I will let you know. Ninja has a Jr I can borrow and Craig had Apexs in stock. Just really don't want to upgrade right now.
    Hopefully my DC8's and fours are OK. Trying to think of an easy way to test them but not coming up with anything.

    This sucks, it took out 2 - DC4's and a DC8 as well.
    Love my new Apex though! In truth it doesn't do anymore for me that the AC3 but it seems to be really solid and easier for the non-technical types to setup.

    Ouch! I'm betting that you're probably in the $1000+ range now...with a $500 deduct, might be worth a claim...but what a great "excuse" to upgrade. :)

    About the same as ReefGeek but GIRS members get a 10% discount and you don't have to wait.

    Man I need to win the lottery or something. So much I want but so little money LOL. Congrats on the purchase though. Keep up updated on how you like it.

    I think I will take you up on that Matt, thanks. That will get me through until I figure out with Neptune what I am going to do.
