I currently use the AI and to be completely honest I could not be more pleased. I felt they were the best bang for my buck. Sure it does not have all the bells and whistles the radions have, but if you consider getting 2 fixtures and controller at the same cost of 1 radion I felt it was my best option.

cost is definately better with the ai's. It wouldnt bother me to spend a little extra for a good fixture as i would hope they would last a while. As i know sometimes more high tech means more trouble/confusion. Just looking for a few good honest opinions on both as i have only been doing the saltwater thing for a few years. Knowledge is the key to success in my book

I use AI's and love them. As stated before, much cheaper, and EASY to use. From what I hear, the radion's are a lot more work to get adjusted. The only plus I really see the radion's having over the AI's is you can sync your Vortech's to them. But do I want to pay twice as much for that feature? Not really. This is just my opinion. AI's are my vote.
