Looking for some suggestions on reef lighting. We just upgraded to a deep blue 80 gallon rimless that is 48"x24"x16". The Radion xr30 light we bought 2 months ago is not covering the tank and my husband is not happy with it.

you could add a light bar cheaply or put the xr30 with a t5 retrofit kit in a hood over the tank

It would take 2 XR30 to cover that tank

Yep it needs two on your tank. The radions I believe have a 30x30 max coverage. Raising light will make it spread more but you will lose intensity.

2 radion xr30 or 4 xr15. Or a 6 bulb 48 inch t5. Or a cheaper led light like a reef breeder depends on what your looking to do. Like what corals you have or plans for and your aqua scape. If you dont have coral wall to wall you could get by with something else.
