is there anyone else using aquaripure (nitrate filter)

    I was thinking about trying one and running it with my current setup. Its on aquaripure.com it looks like it would work (maybe im a sucker for infomercials)

    How often do you need to change out the filter or do a clean out? Or from letting it turn into a Nitrate " Trap"..

    Similar to canister filter..

    I haven't used one before but if you do a search on RC just about every post on them said they work but are a lot of work and not worth the money

    Doesn't turn into a nitrate trap do to the fact of injecting vodka in it...which vodka helps on your nitrates! I have proof if anyone wants to see my aquarium...parameters are dialed in and have been for months since I started using it...I have 15 fish with 00000 nitrates! Just saying from true experience

    What is the maintenance on it ...is it plug and play or do you have to keep adding something to it or clean it out or what???

    You add 15 milliliters of vodka once a week depending on nitrate levels...if high twice a week until lowered...then you add 15 once a week...that's all the maintenance you do.
