Is a flame angel reef safe?

    Was wondering how people have done with these? I know live aquaria says with caution.

    90% of the time they are safe. We have them with LPS & zoas at the store with no problem.

    Just like people, there are always those certain few that ruin it for everyone.

    I bought one about a year and a half ago from ACC, no problems in my reef. An added benefit is when my 6 line wrasse gets a little too cocky, the flame angel can be depended on to put it in its place, and break up any potential violence.

    Craig said it. Usually good but theres always a bad egg in the batch. Mines been fine for years.

    I didn;t want to start another thread but why are clown tangs considered difficult to keep?

    Im sure its ok w shrimp, but most centropyge like to "taste" corals.

    They need tons of swimming room and strong current to stay healthy, hard to mimic in captivity.
