This morning I toured Central Campus along with Joel & Joe.
They have a brand new marine sciences room that just opened in April.  Needless to say it is a one of a kind, world class set up!  They have 14,000 gallons of saltwater and over 140 aquariums.  They currently teach 200 high school kids aquarium sciences & marine biology.
They cover everything from the basics, to fish breeding and aqua culture.
They heard about us hosting MACNA and wants to become very involved with our club.  We can teach each other alot!
Currently they are out of money & looking for donations and grants.  Their 2 biggest needs right now is big skimmers, and egg crate.
Any donations are tax deductable, so if you have an extra skimmer, or sheets of egg crate I can point you in the right direction to help them out.
You think egg crate?  That isnt expensive, but when you need to cover 140 aquariums it is.
Anyway I will be updating this thread with pictures and up dates.

A cool story about the campus.

It is an old Model T factory. They would start the assembly line in the basement, and as they built the car it would go up each floor. The car got the finishing touches on the 5th floor and then they stored them on the roof. When someone would come buy a car, they would load it onto the elevator & drive it out the front door!

I had no idea they built model T's in Iowa

Very cool. It's amazing that a high school would budget for that ... seems like an expensive curriculum.
