Working on the basement getting it ready for the tank upgrade. Marineland deep dimension 60"x36"x27". I am planning to put it in wall with a dedicated fish room behind it. My question is would I lose any of the visual benefits of the 36" depth by "framing" it in the wall? I haven't really seen any built in tanks except in pictures. And in pictures you can't always tell how deep a tank is. I'd hate to lose that aspect of the tank.
Another idea I had tossed around was leaving about a foot exposed from the viewing side, but I'm not sure how well that would look. Or how I would do a canopy over the top that would look good. Any thoughts, ideas, opinions would be great.

I just did a 100 gal tall in wall build it makes the tank look a little different but I like it if you come to DES moines anytime let me know and I can show you the tank. I did a black background on the tank I would suggest doing a blue or something different then black if you do one
