I have 3 damsels I need to remove very badly from my 90. I can't put anything new in my tank they kill it. Even my shrimp. Does the club have one? How do these work? After I catch them will be giving them away. One is a yellow, one is a black and yello stripe and one is a blue with a yellow tail.

Take a pop or propel water bottle cut it 1/4 down in half. Flip the top into the bottle so it looks like it funnels in. Add food and watch the dummies swim in and not be able to swim out

I am having the same issue in Des Moines but it is with a Six Line. I am going to try this, but still looking for option on getting him out of my 90 Gallon.

CR region has a fish trap. Talk to Kyle and see if he has it.

K will call Kyle. Which way if I use a bottle do I cut in half?

Cut the top off so it looks like a funnel (Horizontal cut to the table if you have the bottle standing on the counter.) This gives the fish a nice big funneled area to swim into the opening. However, when he tries to come out, the mouth of the bottle sticks into the center of the main bottle and the fish swims along the edge of the bottle trying to get out and misses the actual opening.

I tried the bottle method once with no luck so i ended up ordering a trap online. If you can find a good image of one youmay be able to actually make one. I was surprised at how simple they are in design. Wish i would have known the simplicity of it before ordering or i would have attempted to make one myself using acrylic. Cost me $25 or $35 and i imagine you could make one fora fraction of that cost. Its a simple box style design with a a glass trap door that is attached to a string...i caught my bristle star, shrimp and two damsels in it. Worked best for me to bait the trap with a stinky food and turn to trap them in the middle of the night when the whole house is dark. Good luck to you!

    FYI:
If you are in need of the Trap or the par meter in the CR/IC area a Sticky in the IC/CR Region forums is posted on contact info and how to get on the list to use them.
