I think this was a random piece I picked up in an online order.  It has been encrusting the rock for quite some time but has really has taken off lately.  So now I am curious what is it?  Sorry for the camera phone pictures...not enough room to take pictures with the other camera until I get a new lens[IMG]

Hmm can't realy tell without a clearer shot of the coralite structure. But I'm digging the purple growth edge.

    Definitely an SPS,

I think you have a real hidden Gem there. Wait a few months, it looks like it is ready to start sending up stalks

Hmmm maybe I should get rid of it before I kill it /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/whistling.gif  This piece has been through the most out of all my(5) SPS pieces I have.  It had a few uprights coming out of it at point but got knocked over a broke them off.  It seems to spread laterally more then anything which is alright but I would like some branches coming off it.

    Patience grasshopper.

I had one just like it, it encrusted a ton, then shot up.
