I just can't stop buying stuff for my tank. LOL. I know most people slow down during the summer, but apparently I'm not one of them. At least not this summer.
In the last month its been especially bad because I'm back on OT at work and money is rolling in pretty good. The money is supposed to be going towards the basement remodel, but I end up cruising the net and ordering more tank stuff.
T5 fixture and bulbs. I added this to my AIs today. Definitely brings out some different colors in some corals.
Algae scrubber from Bud. Got it online last week. Hopefully will start getting some growth in the next few weeks. Can't wait to see the results of this.
Avast marine Kalk stirrer. I am on the last of my 2 part, so I decided to try a different route for awhile. Hopefully this will be arriving next week so I can get it online.
BRS kalk 5 gallons. Got to have the kalk for the reactor.
BRS 50ml/min top off pump. Will use this for top off running through the kalk reactor.
A pair of Mccosker's flasher wrasse showed up on Diver's Den I had to have. Initial phase male and a female. We'll see what happens adding these in with my male. They are really cool little fish.
Since I was ordering I figured I might as well buy enough for free shipping, so I added a couple of nice looking Acro's to the cart. I'm a sucker for "free" shipping.
That's all...for now. Hopefully that will get me by for a little while anyway and I can get back to the basement.

For what ever it may be worth. My Kalk stirrer is pretty much useless now that I switched to LED. My evap rate is like 5-7 gals compared to 10-15 gal a week when I was using halides.

My tank evaporates about 4-5 gallons a day. We'll see how everything works.
I was considering just getting a calcium reactor, but I want to do a little more research on them before going that route. I'm sure I'll end up with one in the future.

even if you pick up a cal reactor, the kalk reactor may be useful to keep ph up.

This is generally what kills me when shopping online anywhere. I end up spending 2-3x what I planned on spending initially just so I can get the free shipping. With live fish it's a little more justifiable since shipping isn't cheap, but I caught myself adding another $50 to my cart from Puma so I could get the added shipping. Shipping would have been $7 /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/blush.gif

This was another reason I was ok with going with the Kalk reactor at this point. It could more than likely still be useful if/when I get a calcium reactor.

I've been having the same problem, but then I ran out of room in my tank lol. Now I'm spending the money setting up my new fish room, and waiting for 180's to go on sale for my new display. Then I'll have 300 more gallons to throw stuff into haha.

    +1 on this.
I have to admit that it just got worse when my wife suggested it was a no-brainer to have AI's.  If she is on board then who will be the voice of reason?
