Huge Thanks !!!

I know there were a lot of people who worked very hard to make MACNA a huge success. But, I want to give special attention to Craig, Joel, JB, and Stephanie for all the time, energy, and sweat you put into the conference...it would not have been possible without you.... I give you a big "THANK YOU" !!!!

 

I'll second that motion! They really strive to make things work. Thanks again to all the GIRS members and volunteers...

Yes, THANK YOU! It was awesome, I over heard people talking several times about what a great Macna this was; you guys did a great job! Now you can finally get some much-deserved rest /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

 

Thanks to all the people that helped make this happen. We had a great time and like most spent more then we should have....but it was well worth eatting Mac n Cheese for a week. Lol. Also thanks to the sellers that kept it reasonable to buy. Can't wait til Fall Fest.

 

What an amazing job done by the core MACNA group mentioned above. This is truly an accomplishment that both you and GIRS can be very proud of!
GIRS is lucky to have a dedicated group that could pull this off with flying colors. It was a fantastic job done by all.

Thank you guys for putting on such a great show. It was amazing!!! Definitely a huge event in my life /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

 

Let's not forget Jeanette.  She put a lot of time with all of the signage.  We can't forget about Joe, who wrote the custom web app for managing the raffle and registration.   Honestly, mentioning these names is not sufficient as many people had an impact in different capacities.  I heard JB mention that 60 people from the club had signed up to help out in some kind of capacity.  That's an amazing number.  Considering that we have 200 members that are current on their club dues, that's 30% of our membership.  I'm proud to be associated with a club that has so many people willing to step up and take help out...especially considering that many came from hours away.  A number of times throughout the event, I heard people talking about how great different parts of the show were. 
Some of the things I heard were:
  +Great food (both quality and variety) at the banquet and reception dinner
  +Spacious layout of the speaker room and show floor
  +Reasonable prices for vendors
  +Helpfulness of the club members (*many* vendors mentioned that we helped more than any other club in the history of all MACNAs they had attended)
  +The amazing tour of central campus
  +The fact that everything ran on time for the term of the whole show
and much more.
Fact is, there were a few hiccups (as is to be expected with a show of this magnitude), but overall, the show was executed very well and everyone seemed to be happy and indicated that this has been one of the best conferences ever.  Way to go everyone!

You guys the show was incredible. Every time GIRS does a show it's incredible! All you guys who worked the floor and the ticket sales booths, thank you so much. Craig I don't know how you survived the insanity, your head must be spinning and I'm sure you're still hard at work today getting things moved, figured out, and put away!

I know I'm a total bum when it comes to these things, but I graduate for the last time in a long time this Dec. and then I'll be throwing down big time!

I'm so proud of our club, and I can't wait for our next regional meet!

 

It was an amazing experience. I only heard good things from all the vendors, many of them stopping to tell us thank you because we had our green shirts on. Big thank yous to those who worked like crazy making this a success and to those who worked a shift. I hope all of you that worked long hard hours pulling this off are enjoying today off!
