I have the best luck prying their feet up with a knife and then pull their feet away from the rock using tweezers.

I am not terribly confident in my rock piles strength. I think I could knock it over./DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/crazy.gif
Does the ice thing work if they are not on the glass?

When I used this method I ended up with an extra anemone. I am sure I am not as patient as you though!

I had luck pointing a powerhead at them and taking a turkey baster and keep blasting it's foot when it was loose. Take one of your MP40s off the back and put it right on the side and blast it!

The mp 40 would be a little more power head than I used before.

I did not try the ice method as I heard that it could cause permanent damage...but if Craig says it's OK, I'm sure he's right. He's certainly dealt with more RBTAs than anyone else I know of.

I got two off of rocks by *very slowly* peeling them off. I started by getting a fingernail under the edge, then very carefully applied pressure to pull them off. This literally took 30 minutes per anemone (I had to remove 2). Your arms will get tired and you'll have to switch arms very quickly because they will re-attach the part of the foot that you've detached very quickly. It's a painful process.

    Good luck.

if you rub its base close to the foot , it will eventually let go and start to walk and then you gently pry his foot up  , but this can be time consuming !!
    good luck !!

I cut away a little of the rock below the foot of the nem with bone cutters. That way I can get my finger under the nem. Then I slowly work it loose.

If you can get to the foot just use your fingers. Take your time you can usually get the to release by just the use of your fingers has worked well for me in the past

So I blasted it with a HK 4 for a couple of days, it was really unhappy but never let loose.

did you get it loose? you could try to completely shade it from light and see if it will move on its own.
