Homemade Fish Food Meeting!

    A couple little birds reminded me tonight that next Tuesday is our scheduled Fish Food Meeting. So Please sign up here if interested in attending 6 PM next Tuesday May 12th at Austins house (once you have signed up Austin will PM you his address). This will be a members only meeting as the club will subsidize some of the ingredients with the Des Moines Area GIRS budget. I will post a tentative recipe soon that will be based on JJ's.
    I am guessing the admission to this event will be about $10, but that will depend on the cost of the ingredients and the number of people that show up.
    So please sign up in this thread now.

    I would love to hear what you guys have to put together for some homemade food. I make my own every once and a while, it's nice to hear what others use. I live in Cedar Falls though, won't be able to make the trip. Will you guys be listing the ingredients later? Maybe the people from Waterloo/Cedar Falls could make some at a stop on our next tank tour.

    Is there anyone coming this way(CF or Waterloo) that I could buy a share of the food by chance?

    i want to be but unfortunatly work is still busy and not gunna be able to make it. I would be more than happy forking out the money if someone could or wanted to make some for me i'd make it worth their while..

    mysis shrimp

    krill

    mixed sea food (squid, mussel meat, octopus, clam etc.)

    Cyclopzee

    Brine shrimp

    silversides
    algea
    Hi Quality Flake
    High Quality Pellets
    Reef Chilli and Coral Frenzy if I can find it
    Selcon
    Garlic Guard

    With only 5 people we wont buy that much. I think we will go with $10 each and then the club will pay for the balance.
    So everyone bring your $10 tomorrow night. It will be well worth it!

    Hey guys, writing this real quick from work. The person who was supposed to come in to relieve my shift so I could come down on time can't make it due to overtime issues. Hrray for me being told last minute... I get off of work at 6:30 and it's a little under an hour for me to get to Des Moines, so I am thinking you will all be pretty done. I have no problem paypaling the 10 bucks to someone since I know you all were counting on it. Sorry it is so last minute, not much I can do /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sad.gif

    Well gave it a try when I got home and the fish sure seem to like it! Corals seemed to pull it out of the water as well.
