    Hello everybody,

I have a 29 gallon nano cube with a med-sized Clarki Clown, Starfish, Yellow Wrasse, Peperment shrimp, 2 Large turbo snails, 1 anenome, and like 6 small corals and frags. I have lots of liverock and about 2" of live sand. I have some carbon stuff in the back for the filter. I currently use Reef Crystals and keep it at about 1.022. Also I add Kent Marine MicroVert and Kent Marine Nano Reef Part A & B....

Does anyone know what I can do to make my water CRYSTAL clear? Also my sand is so dirty, it has lots of waste...it drives me NUTS!!! I have attached some pictures of the tank and sand.

I do water changes every week-week 1/2 ... I know I need hermit crabs but how many?

Sometimes I feel the snails produce more waste than they do cleaning [IMG]

More flow, just a little less LR should do it. Looks like you have quite a bit of debris buildup on the bottom and not enough water movement to get it all off. Also may want to check into Chemi-pure, it'll fit into the media box in the back and hopefully clear your water up quite a bit!

Also, if you wanted the sand a bit cleaner, you might try some sand sifting snails (nassarius).

Do you have a skimmer running? Also running a cheap HOB filter with a filterpad would do wonders helping clean up the cloudiness... just make sure you rinse/replace the filter pad often.

    Sounds good, Ok so..

    A. Take out some live rock
    B. Get some N. Snails
    C. Powerhead for more water movement
    D. Chemi-Pure

Anything else? Also I feed every day and anenome evey 3-4 days... Should I be feeding less? Also had a small tang in there just TEMP. and was giving it seaweed everyday. He was only in there for about a month until other tank was ready...

I do a water change once a every 2 weeks. I have only 2 fish and prob 200 mushrooms with many other corals. Mine is very clear. I have just as much live rock. The thing I do different is run chaeto in the back which helps. I don' run a skimmer and my nitrates are 0.

I only use the return pump for water movement also. IMO your lighting looks off. Do you need new bulbs?
