i was cleaning my tank just now and i sucked one of my clowns up in the hose i use to pull the water out.  he shot out from behind the rock and right in front of the the hose.  and that was that.  he was just big enough to get stuck in the tip up the hose and go no farther. i was able to get him out of the hose after cutting it out but it was too late he was gone.  i have had this fish since i started a salt water tank and this is just depressing./DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/crying.gif

Sorry to hear this Wes. I've sucked a few clowns up in my day, but I've always been able to blow on the other end of the tube so it shoots them back into the tank, not sure if this would have worked in your situation...

I used to suck up clowns by the hundreds... They just happened to be fry and I was doing it on purpose. Sucks to hear that you lost him/her. Next time try lifting the hose and breaking the siphon outside of the tank. The water pressure usually dislodges anything stuck.

What is the deal with the Black and White clown? Got a mean one?

i was just thinking that the existing clown would bully the B&W clown but i dont think that will happen.  the clown i have now is a pretty mild tempered.
