   Hello, Ive got a problem... I have a light w/ 3x250 14k DE HQI halides & 4 96w actintics. I ordered new 250 20k DE HQI bulbs, but none will fire? Any one know whats up....

   not sure about HQI but with metal halides there can be two different types of ballasts probe start and pulse start not sure on the differences but if you buy the wrong bulb they wont fire either. But again Im not sure with HQI.

   Yea my ballast arnt the oil filled old school heavy ballast. Cheap coralife

   I believe the HQI's need pulse start ballasts....

   Both applications are HQI mine has a HID ballast
