i just set it on its mouth and manually feed it or sometimes it sticks if you hold it on there for awhile

You cant see the tentacles at all?

If so, it is doomed a long slow death. You can try to put small pieces of food directly in its mouth, but probably way too late for that.

    Sorry

i put a pic in my ablums. it does elongate. u can kinda see what looks like the tentiles want to come out. when i got it, it looked way worse.

looks inside out to me, and very bleached. this sometimes happens. If it was me i would cut my losses and get it out before it dies completely and does other more severe damage to your tank.

I wouldn't give up on it so fast! I had a clown reek havoc on one of my rose's and it lost all tentacles...it is alive today and the tentacles are growing back. BTA's love silversides. If possible contact the previous owner to find out what it was fed and how often. It's very important to maintain good, stable and clean water conditions and, ample light. If you have a hospital tank, after matching water param's transfer it over(do not let it get exposed to the air!). This way you can manage it easier and nurse it back to health. If it does die, it won't hurt the display tank. Provide good lighting and gentle flow for it. You may need to turn off the powerhead/flow to feed it so the food can sit on its' mouth. Do NOT try to force the food into the mouth. If it hasn't eaten for quite awhile, give it "very small" pieces of silverside/raw shrimp. Here's a great resource to help you and the GBTA out: http://www.karensroseanemones.net/ PM me if I can be of further help.

    He is a gonner.

He has lost his zooxanthelle, which is the color. This is what turns light into food for nems & corals. Now that he has lost that, he is actually consuming himself, that is why the tentacles are becoming shorter & shorter & disappearing.

I would go ahead & pull him out & dispose of him as he has no hope of survival.
