FS: Chiller

I purchased this from another member this weekend and then discovered it won't fit properly in my cabinet.  It is an aqualogic delta star 1/3 HP chiller. Dimensions are 23x14x11 (note: the 23" x 14" is the footprint which is what caused it not to work for me).  Selling it for what I paid: $250.  I also have a NIB aqualogic single stage controller NIB for $120 which I will return for a refund if no one is interested.

Do you need the NIB controller to work the chiller? Or does the chiller work as is?

I am by no means an expert on Chillers but I do believe they need a controller to work.  I ordered this one because it is made by aqualogic but it is my understanding other controllers would work too.

 

Have you tested this chiller out with your new controller?

I have not tested it because I will return the controller if someone is interested in only the chiller (and I can't return it if I open it).

Im not too up on chillers right now so was wondering what a 1/3 horsepower chiller was rated for in gallons? Whats the max system a chiller like that can handle?

I don't know the answer for this one.  I believe how much energy it will use will be dependent upon how many degrees you need to cool, ambient temperature etc.  Sorry I couldn't be more help on this question...

 

Did you end up selling this?

 

I still have it but am planning on returning the controller today so if you have an interest let me know....
