I've been considering doing a formalin dip as part of my quarantine routine for new inhabitants. I don't know that I've ever seen it for sale anywhere though. Does anyone know where you can get formalin locally, or does it need to be ordered?

    Thanks!

believe it's rx only available through a vet. Typically once you explain what you need it for they don't hesitate to write a rx for you.

  3. I use it at work to dip fish... Personally I don't like doing it but it's procedure.

That stuffs bad. As soon as I open the cap my eyes water and everything. Plus it can literally go bad (gets all cloudy) if you don't use it fast enough.

As for when I dip the fish in it, it really stresses them out. I've never lost a fish doing it but it makes me feel bad.
