Fish trap

I was trying to get a damsel out of my tank so I could let it sit fishless. I'm thinking I have a parasite problem so everything is going into quarantine and treatment will begin. Just the damsel and a single clown now. Was 2 clowns but the other died this morning.
Just wanted to let everyone know I had awesome success with a home made fish trap. Took all of 2 minutes to make and the damsel was caught in less than an hour. Probably closer to 30 minutes.
The recommended bottle was a 2 liter bottle with the top cut off, inverted, and glued back together. I didn't have that bottle, but I did have an old orchard(I think) juice bottle and I think it was actually better. First off the mouth was bigger so no need to modify it for the fish. Second was if you cut it right the curvature of the bottle will actually snap the 2 pieces together so no need for messy glue or waiting for it to dry. Put in a little food, put it in the tank and waited. Took a little while for the damsel to get up the nerves to venture in, but when he did he was had. Simple as can be. I was actually surprised at how easy it was and relieved I didn't have to tear apart the tank to get him out.

Those type of traps work great. Ive had very good luck with that type. The only problem i have with them is my shrimp or crab get into it first. Glad you got them out.

    Lol.
The problem I have is patience...I usually can't wait and end up tearing the tank apart...
Glad to hear it worked for you!

I was actually surprised how fast I got him caught.
I am sure with other more skittish fish it could turn into a real waiting game, but it worked perfect for my damsel.
