So I'm going to put together my first saltwater tank, I've always done freshwater Cichlid tanks previously. I'm leaning towards a 40Breeder with a $100-$200 HoB Skimmer, probably Octopus. I'm not familiar with sump setups at all. I was planning on doing live rock and adding coral once the community tank is developed properly. The stocklist is a very rough list: 4 Chromis (Blue or Blue/Green), Pair of clowns (not sure which type), 1 Angelfish (Coral Beauty or Flame), 1 Wrasse (maybe Fairy), and possible cleanup crew. How does this stocklist look? I know the angelfish can be an issue with coral and it's a hit or miss with them generally. I would probably use the standard T5 lighting that I use on my cichlid tanks until I added coral. I live in Waterloo, IA and will likely be making any and all purchases from washburn shop.

    Any input/suggestions/feedback/critcism is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Welcome and good luck.

  3. Sounds like you've done your research, just remember nothing good comes fast with saltwater tanks. Looking forward to see it come along, and I also get most of my stuff from AC&C in Washburn. It's a great store.

Good luck. I would strongly reccommend the clean up crew, well worth the money.
