I may as well start at the beginning of the water flow pattern and post pictures along the way. Here is my water changing station. Got the large barrel from Big John and I have it setup to a timer that turns the pump on to circulate fresh RODI for about 2 hours every night.

[IMG]Below the RODI barrel I have a 30 gallon 'Tough Box' that stores my mixed salt water. I have a Tunze pump that runs in this container 24/7 along with a heater. From there, I use a Litermeter III (one of my favorite purchases all time) and I have that setup to do auto water changes. The Litermeter takes water out of the sump and sends it directly to my drain. Then it takes fresh stored salt water and adds it back into the sump. This happens a few times a day in small increments. About 10% water changes every 2 weeks I believe.

[IMG]Since starting this, I have seen better growth and overall health in corals...combined with using Seachems Salinity salt.

So now, here is the sump. This is a 'remote' sump about 4 ft. from my tank. Sump was custom made by MJ and he did a great job. I used to have an algae scrubber in there but took it off line. Have hard time getting it to work properly and ultimately didn't have much space. I like to get in there with my hands and don't like having to fight for space. The skimmer drains to a Davey Jones Locker not seen in the picture. The return pump I have is fantastic. The Reef Octopus Water Blaster 10000. That thing has plenty of flow on this tank...I have it dialed about half way.

Still working on getting things organized and cleaned up. But here is the electronics board...as mentioned...work in process. Way too cluttered for me....but getting there.

Lookin' good J. I'm jealous of all the space you have. Getting sooo tired of trying to tinker with stuff under a 24" stand.

Also, I would give my left nut for a house with a floor drain. Continuous water changes is the way to go.

    Looks Amazing!
On your first group of tank shots-the last picture in the group. Is there a frag of Dustins Deepwater sps? There are 4 frags in that photo

Looks awesome! You've certainly put a ton of thought and effort into your system!

Do you mind if I post that sump picture up on Facebook or my website?

The frag rack I got on amazon. Small footprint and allowed for verticle placement. I will tell you though...it has shot up in price! Amazon now has it listed for $55. I think I paid $35 for it couple months ago.

Mike, feel free to use that picture on your facebook. I have several more prior to hooking up plumbing, and a couple after plumbing if you want more shots. Shoot me your email or cell and I'll send them to you.

I will say it again - you did a fantastic job on this sump. Just wish I had more room to put the scrubber back 'on-line'.

    Thanks!

I purchased that sps at ACC. I will see if I can stop in there later today and ask Andrew. I had him write it down and I lost that paperwork. I purchased all those corals in that shot from AC&C.
