    Salutations Everybody!
    I thought I would post some pictures for everybody to enjoy from yesterdays Fall Fest. I know I had a great time, and it was exciting to see that I knew practically everybody there! There were many impressive booths with very nice frags for sale, unfortunately I was not able to picture everybody and everyone's booth, but I will do my best to list the ones I shot and the proprietors of said tables; Also, there is one frag seller here who I was unable to identify, if the community will please do this so we can provide credit for his wonderful collection of LPS frags;
    [IMG][IMG]
    Paul's Corals had an impressive set up as well;
    [IMG][IMG]
    Jim's Reef, I must say, what a nice display and from an entrepreneurial stand point.....NICE SINAGE! I'm not sure if the foutain Mt. Dew ended up in the tank or what, but all the frags were gone by the end of the day! lol j/k
    [IMG][IMG]
    YZ Reef, nice collection, love the display;
    [IMG]
    Madd Props to our hobbyist and semi-pro tables; haha you guys should expand!
    Bill and his collection of zoa's and sps is really getting ridiculous!
    [IMG][IMG]
    Pot Roast, super slick tank, really liked checking out your LED lights on this little set up;
    [IMG][IMG]
    Will and Rich at this booth, I'm not sure who's it is; They did have this peculiar looking frag that I think is a gonipora? Somebody must be good at feeding (and subsequent water changes)
    [IMG][IMG]
    Adam and Jeanette had some nice pieces to spare;
    [IMG]
    Other proprietors and hobbyists at the show included Chris and his family with their black perculas;
    [IMG]
    Of course the obligatory equipment and book junkies table; (sorry I didn't include a business name, I didn't catch it....you guys should work on your sinage, I mean, don't be ashamed to just be ridiculous with sinage that's my business theory! lol) Lot's of great stuff here guys, this book table is the reason that I didn't bring any cash with me, of course there were only about 4 books on this table that I don't already have! lol
    What I want to know is; when is Scott Michael going to come out with a Tang volume of his ongoing collection of "Reef Fishes" (of which I have all of so far)
    [IMG][IMG]
    Then there was some guy...named Anthony Calfo there, I guess he's some kind of big deal or something? LOL j/k j/k. I was really honored to meet and talk with Anthony for the first time, as an aquarist and biologist, I can really sympathize with his focus during yesterday's lecture. I've cultivated a very similar mantra, that extends well beyond holistic reef keeping, into other domains including related ethical obligations as a professional biologist, ecologist and aquarium keeper.
    As is customary, I have an uncanny talent for procing the strangest face and posture at the most inopportune moments;

    I gotta say though the most impressive booth at the event (for me) was Jeremy's phyto and spiked phyto table; I first met Jeremy about 3 years ago, when he was already well immersed in reef keeping, but (I believe at that point) still in the infancy of his cultivating endeavors. His enthusiasim for the hobby is rivaled only by the top 10% of us nerds out there. hahaha I am so glad to hear of his success, and it was a lot of fun to discuss his techniques with cultivating and quality control (microscopy, agar cultures & more). I think if hobbyists can take anything away from Anthony's speech it's that we need more food in our reefs, and we can really use more guys like Jeremy to provide high quality foods for our animals! Jeremy, go big with it if you can buddy, and work on your sinage! lol
    Here, we can observe Jeremy giving a very detailed and scientific lecture to his colleague;
    [IMG]
    Again, I apologize to anybody's booth that I missed for photo op's but you guys will just have to work harder at enticing me to your table's lol j/k. But seriously, sorry if I missed ya. In fact I get so excited at these events I don't get enough time to take quality pictures, I just set it on auto and go.
    Hope you enjoyed this installment, next Spring Fest and what we're all anxious about next summer:

    Thanks for posting! Nice summary! I'm surprised that you didn't have pics of Cherry Corals as they had some *amazing* corals. Sone had some great frags in his tank too.

    Yeah I'm sure they did! Like I said I was too excited and anxious to conduct myself logically. And the swarm of people at their booth inhibited my casual approach, and space to shoot some photos. I even tried twice to get near their booth and have a few shots, but it didn't work out.

    AJ, I gotta say man, I LOVE your avatar. I'm a huge calvin and hobbs fan!
