I was in the process of cutting out all my old plumbing and placing my new 40 gallon sump (with brand new sro3000 skimmer)  beneath my 120 when I find out, the 40 is too wide by literally 1/8" and won't seat down evenly, or be able to slide to the side to accommodate my external pump.
So now my whole system is down, no skimmer, no recirculation pump, no gfo, no ato, no kalkwasser rxr. just a couple of mp40's and tunze pushing water around for right now. I'm pretty upset, but I've gotta 30 that I'm going to work with that will fit my new skimmer. I feel defeated, beaten, and angry.
Anybody want to buy a 40 sump? it's drilled and partitioned with an 18 gallon refugium and bubble trap.
Any tips on maintaining the tank without any gadgets for the next 3-5 days? 5 gallon daily water change? bi-daily top offs? 3 part dosing? check, check, check. Am I forgetting anything?
Wish me luck on making a full recovery.

Andy can you put some foam board down on the bottom of your stand to support the sump or will it still not clear?

Is the 40 sump an old tank with trim? If so I bet you can take the trim off & fit it in there.

You can add a teaspoon of hydrogene peroxide daily to help increase the oxygen levels.

There has to be a way to make it work. But if you can't and still want to sell I would be interested in it.

Thanks guys. I already removed the trim and the problem is I would neeed to remove the top trim to slide it in where I wanted it to fit, and possibly shave a little bit of 2x4 to get the wiggle room I need to get it to seat in there
