Buy a avast marine kalk stirer and run it off your top of water

I am working on the same thing. I am looking at building the one I saw in a BRS video. I have a thread on this somewhere. Everyone keeps saying to add it to the ATO system but I like the dripper better and dont have to worry about clogging my $350 pump

if you add a kalk stirrer to your ato like the 2 little fishies one less then 100 bucks, there is nothing to clog. your ato switches on your pump that is in your ato reservoir, the water flows to the kalk stirrer, and then goes into your sump. anyway what makes you think you need to start dosing? have you tested for alk, cal and mag?what are the params? what corals are you keeping?

KH 7 dkh, alk 2.51meq/L, cal 500mg/l, ph 7.8, amonia 0ppm, nitrite 0 ppm, nitrate 40 ppm. My sps just seem to keep bleaching and not growing very fast.

I need to get test kits for alk and mag. My KH was crazy I think I added like 22 drops I need to read back over the directions to figure out what my hardness is. My pH is staying around 8.2 and my calc is the same. I only have a kenya tree right now but it doesnt look so hot so I know something is off in my water.

going by those numbers you dont need to be dosing kalk your calcium is already on the high side. Let me ask you, do you buffer your top off water with reef builders or something? your ph and kh are low.

before I started to need to run a kalk stirrer I would add reef builder to my ato water. RO water is so soft it has almost no hardness to it. with out a buffer your going to lose PH and alk.
