Corals

    I have seen corals that have dead heads attached. Is it best to cut the dead skeletal off or leave them be?
    Speaking of Hammrs, Torchs or Frogspawn....

    It would probably be best to remove them if the coral as a whole isn't already too stressed to deal with being handled. Also, if it is otherwise fairly stable you could bathe it in some coral RX just to be sure.

    I would make sure they are truly dead. I had a Duncan that got stung or buried in the sand or something. Looked like the head was done for, but it actually eventually came back.

    I saw a coral with 4 good heads & 3 dead ones in a LFS..
    I also have 1 in my tank that 1 of the heads was dead when I got it... My thought was it would do better trimmed up..
