corals arrived 3 days late

So, I bought some corals from Ascension Aquatics. It was an overnight delivery from over by Chicago. UPS messed up and they just got here. Are all of these gonna be dead? I guess I don't know what I should do with these. I don't wanna put them in my tank, but I want to see if anyone of them would make it back. A few of them don't look all to bad. Help.

I have seen them last that long before. Or others melt in 3 hours.

Also never have an overnight order scheduled for Friday just for cases like this.

Set up a quick qt system, power head & tank water in a bowl or something will give you a good idea in a couple hours. Main thing they need now is new water & flow

 

Do you have a small spare tank around that you could qt them?

See funny thing is I won a Sunburst anthias from this ascension aquatics who is owned by an 18 year old kid..... I've been trying to get this and a frag pack but he keeps coming up with lame excuses. ... I'm actually in Chicago every Tues in the morning for work said I could come by and pick up and pay for everything but each time something always comes up. Kinda sketchy to me.... Also your not the only one this shipping issue has happened to..... someone posted on their Facebook page the same thing happened to them also there was more but we're deleted. ...

 

Well lesson learned. He did reimburse all my money. Corals are in qt. We will see what we got when I get home from work in the morning. Free frags at this point.

 

So how is everything looking?

 

actually pretty good. I got a few small monti frags that i was gonna glue together and make a multi color monit frag. those frags didn't end up so hot. the Neon Montastrea, rainbow acan, orange Echinata Frag, and blasto frag plus a free zoa frag all look good. so really not that big of a loss. plus i got my money back.

I for sure will. Not sure how you want me to do this. I can pre-pay for some stuff if you want. I do want those sun corals, the toadstool mushroom leather and some pusling xenia. Those I know I want for sure.

I am guessing a little bit of both. First off he got them to ups pretty late in the day and then it was guaranteed overnight delivery and they didn't get it out in time from the dc. So it was fubar from the get go.

 

Next question. Before I take these out of my qt. I want to dip them in something. I have read some on the Bayer dip. Where do I buy this stuff and do u all recommend it or do u recommend something else?

ups overnight cutoff is 5:30, so if it was before that, then UPS fault.


If they all live, I wouldnt feel right about taking a 100% refund, especially if it was a UPS screw up. But like Kermit says, none of my business.

 

They aren't all alive I can assure u that.
