    Not sure exactly what this is.  I believe it is a montipora of some kind, it is a light purple color and grows in vertical columns.


    These are a few small pieces that I have so you can see what it looks like close-up (these are about 1 square inch frags)

    And this is the larger colony, I got this about a month and a half ago, and it was almost completely flat (to the shape of the rock, so all the nodules are new growth

    itprobably has some rediculous designer name but its def. a montipora

    montipora spongoides...not sure of the spelling. i have this one. nice pretty purple polyps.

    montipora spongodes! I thought I had searched that and didn't come up with much, but googled it and the first image was it. Hmm.
