So at the 2 part demonstration we were talking about clowns biting and I said mine were "nice" and haven't tried biting me at all. Craig told me as soon as they laid eggs they would start biting. Well, I haven't been bitten yet, but they finally laid eggs. I see about 40-50 of them, not too big of a "nest," but they're there.
I don't think I'll be trying to raise this batch, but I would like to give it a try in the near future. Can everyone post their best links and best tips on raising these little guys please! I've got a few things in mind and I've read a lot on the topic in the past, but it would be nice to have a good starting point with some good links so I'm not wasting my time looking through all the bogus info out there!
I've got brine shrimp eggs but no phyto or rotifers. I'm looking at making this as easy as possible, so nothing too confusing please! I'm looking at baffling out a 10 gallon tank and having an air source on one end to "tumble" the little guys(I remember seeing this in a breeding forum once).
Anyways, no one likes to read my rambling, please post any helpful tips, links, or quick summaries of what to do/what not to do.
    Thanks!
    -Adam
(This could make a good meeting/demonstration in the future!)

    Congrats!!!

I was surprised they hadnt already, they definitly looked like they were ready.

You can buy some instant algae paste so you dont have to raise your own phyto if you want. Rotifers are really easy.

If you want to tumble them, the easy way is to get a round fishbowl & put that bowl in a 10 gallon tank. Then you can tumble it with a air line. Works really good.

MOFIB.org is the best place on breeding. There is also Joyce Wilkersons book on clownfish breeding. You can borrow it if you want.

For now start feeding the parents more/better.

Watch this new nest & watch the progression & wait for their eyes to start showing. They will be good food for the rest of your tank when they hatch. Probably about a week an hour after dark.

    Keep us posted.

Yea I'm going to be talking to him, I just wanted to post on here first. I've been to his place and it's pretty awesome to see what he's got going. I also need to talk to jjtrumpeter and see if he's got any phyto to sell too.
Does anyone have a rotifer culture that they could sell some to me? I don't want to pay the high internet prices for something that's bound to be found local...

You can get resting rotifers from Florida Aqua Farms for about $15.

Well they're laying again! Their not done yet and there's about 10 times more this time! I recorded a short video clip on my crappy phone, here's the link on YouTube:

I apologize for the TERRIBLE quality...

I'm actually getting the new DroidX on Thursday if they have it in stock, so I'll be able to get an HD video of this sometime!
