Very nice. Doesn't seem as shy as most blue tangs when first introduced either.

Wow that is one sweet fish, even my wife, who doesnt know a clown fish from a carp was impressed.

 

Nice Bill, hope the tang does alright since it looks like you didn't quarantine it. Sorry, someone had to point it out...

Right definately more blue than purple.

Nice looking fish! I saw him @ Coralville Bay a couple of weeks ago after I bought mine. I think there were 3 Purple Tangs

There were two when I got mine there is one left. He has them priced crazy high in my opinion. But I traded for mine so it was a sweet deal. I must say this is by far my favorite fish now. And just to let the fish police out there know he is setteled in and eating like a champ.

 

Let's try this again from a pc:
It is a great looking fish!  I did notice that in all but 1 pic he seems to be swimming away from you ...hmm...
When I was @ Coralville Bay he had 3 Purple Tangs and they all looked healthy. 
They are crazy expensive (all that i've seen) but I think worth it.  My wife preferred the colors of the PBT that I just sold but she actually found my Purple Tang and suggested I buy it knowing that I wanted another after losing one in February.  I'm surprised that I'll pay for a Purple Tang yet price shop glow fish for my son - the fish/tank/etc. all cost less than the tang!  If you were able to trade then it sounds like a great deal!
How many Tangs do you have now?  I belive AJ has a Purple along with other Tangs?  My tank isn't quite big enough and since my PBT killed my last Purple I wasn't interested in risking it again!

I have one orange sholder tang and the purple in the display. They are different body types and don't seem to mind each other at all. I am happy with just the two of them in the display so I don't think I'll add anymore tangs.

Yea my camera has about a 3 second delay from when you push the button tell it takes the shot which sucks when you are trying to take fish pics

Yea not cheap but I asure you I don't have that kind of money and would never spend that much on a fish. I have known Edd for years and we worked out a deal. I'm not trying to encurage others to go there and bug him about makeing deals but if you do please don't say anything about me.
