It's kinda cool, it has IR for night viewing, and good color res during the day. But the display resolution has really low fps at high resolution, pretty good on the lowest setting. The best thing is the pan and tilt.

I saw it in night mode but still very cool. Gonna check back in the daylight.

Been a slow morning at work. So been watching waiting for the lights to come on. I am liking how the Purple Tang ( I think) stays in front of the cam. He/She must be a spotlight hog. But very cool to have the webcam

Shes not as bad as the blue tang that I'm trying to nab out of there! The lights are adjusted for late viewing so they won't actually come on till about 11:15 (or there abouts, its on an apex seasonal profile with a 4 hour delay). Im going to hard wire the webcam onto my router instead of using it wirelessly and that will improve fps considerably. Btw out is a foscam surveillance cam fyi. The usb webcams commonly offered are cheaper, have better resolution, color and framerates so I wrote neptune a request to make a firmware upgrade that supports a webcam as a type of module via aquabus.

LOL weird, looks like there's a reflection of some kind and it only looks like it's 4" full. I saw the purple tang so it's all good...
Oh, I just figured it out.  Having been to Andy's place I remember there is a frag tank right next to this tank and I'm seeing the reflection of that and the patio door as well.  Now it all makes sense.

Yeah I think the morning glare is a big problem. I will probably only run it from noon to 7am.
