Cheato Not Growing

It needs nitrates to grow, so if you have low nitrates or ) nitrates, you will see very little growth.

 

When I started my fuge I had half chaeto half Caulerpa. The caulerpa grew wayyy faster and now I only have a tiny amount of chaeto in the corner. I think it just doesn't export nutrients as well.

 

i've had my cheato in my sump since i started my tank in the middle of january and it hasn't grown hardly at all, got a little thicker. i'm growing tube worms and other white things in there but it isn't growing, i have zero nitrates though and none in my water change water either (i use tap water right now till i get filters for my RO unit) all my levels are great though so im not to concerned bout my cheato
