I have finally caught our peppermint shrimp, after weeks of trying.... Now what?
Aquatic environments doesn't open til noon tomorrow and I don't know what to do til then?He is currently still inside our trap in the tank but we have crabs and a clownfish trying to get in while he is trying to get out....
What to do, what to do...

Just let it float (the trap) in your tank over night til the store opens, and you should see a doctor about those crabs! Haha
Why are you getting rid of it?

Haha! He is a murderous evil being! I watched him kill and eat a nassarius snail! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/shocked.gif
We started out with 22 blue leg hermit crabs now only have 10. ( not sure if that was his fault or our MASSIVE bl hermit)And had 4 nassarius snails and are down to 2, and I know for a fact it was him.

I have never heard of that before! Interesting...
Can you just let it float over night?

Not sure... Gonna see if that works for now but I'm worried about the cube of frozen brine shrimp polluting our tank overnight?

We had to take him out of the tank, brine shrimp was starting to leak into the tank.... He is still in the trap with tank water but looking kinda pale... /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/sad.gif hoping to take him for a trade in to replace our snails I think? The good people at AE said they would take him back in even with him bein a murderer /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/wink.gif lol!

I have never had an issue with peppermint shrimp nor heard of them eating a snail. I did have a coral banded eat my chromis and I caught him in the act.
