I use to when my sps tank was up. They are very easy to set up and use.

Easier than dosing on a regular schedule, set it up, dial it in and forget it essentially...until your CO2 runs out. There a 1-2 week calibrating period where you adjust the flow. I just got a bigger one for my tank since I was using a MRC nano rater for something like 100 gallons. With the new one I'm checking my kH every two days until I got to 8.5dkh and then slowing down the flow rate a little bit, checking again in two days, it's gone down to 8dkh, so I increased flow a tiny bit and I'll measure it again in another 48hrs. Once you're dialed in you're done!

Of course the only thing about Ca rxr's is that they're expensive set ups, you gotta have a pH controller and probe, CO2 bottle w/regulator, an electronic solenoid, and the reactor itself. Totally worth it if you ask me!

BTW I still have that MRC nano if you're interested.

What do you want for the nano? What all is included? (this is of course if violet isn't wanting to buy)

    thanks for the info guys!

The nano is too small for my tank.....I have a 120.

I should do some research on the total cost for everything.

Bela, I paid 180 for it, I guess I'd like to get 90 bucks out of it. It's just the reactor chamber, pump (it's a magdrive 3 or 5), then the fittings, and I gotta butt load of jaco tubing if you need it, I think I have the original bubble counter that came with it too somewhere.
violet, you might be looking at somewhere around 600 bucks for the whole set up, but instead of getting a regular pH controller you could probably spend a little more and have a reef controller like a neptune ac junior, or a reefkeeper lite.

Alright, so I need a solenoid and a c02 tank still, correct? Let me price those out here. I will actually be in your area tomorrow so I might be interested in this.
