Businesses with Salt/Reef Tanks

I think the car dealers name is Zimmerman/houdak or something like that? It's in Marion right across from Mcdonalds. That's where we bought our Expedition from and one of the guys that works there has one in his office. He wasn't there that day though so I couldn't ask him about it.

 

I enjoyed the tank at Cibo last time I ate there, except their returns were all messed up and were forcing huge amounts of microbubbles into the tank.

 

An eyecare place in Robins has one - a reef set up

 

the guarantee bank has one at the fairfax location that is a zero edge another zero edge coral tank in the presidents office, a 58 show in safety deposit room in downtown and another at the 42nd st office

Zimmerman houdek has a 75 with a little bit of corals running metal halides and a tom trickelfilter

then i think siebkey hoyt on first ave has a tank the old steaks by thomas is now open again and has a tank as well as the Fairfax State bank has a 75 with africans

 

The casino in Riverside has a tank in the middle of the casino area..... haven't been in there in awhile but it looked nice when I was there about a year ago.  It was just a FOWLR tank /site/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif
There is also a nursing home in West Branch that has a nice FOWLR.

 

Sam's Pizza in downtown IC (on Gilbert Street) has a reef tank (I think it's a 180, but I'm not sure) - I haven't been there since it was pretty new and still kind of cycling. They have really good pizza, but it's more of a bar than a restaurant. It's a fun place, but if you're there past 10PM on the weekend prepare for it to transform from a mellow place to a typical LOUD college bar!

Takanami in downtown IC (on Iowa Avenue) has a pretty huge FOWLR. We weren't crazy about their food the time that we went there, so we haven't bothered to go back. The tank was cool though!

 

IN response to Cibo's in MArion I clean that nightmare. The only problem is that he only allows me to clean it once a month and he is suppose to maintain the water level in between those times. And yes the lighting is extremely under powered only has 2 6" Flourescents. Thats all. I have begged and pleaded with him to upgrade at least the lights. I am glad I read this post cause the bubble thing should never be happening obviously the care is not be taken that should be. Unfortunelty I can only clean once a month but I will now be monitoring water on a weekly basis to ensure this never happens again. He might not care to much but I sure do. Also Daniel Arthurs in Cedar RApids has a reef tank that Sea of marvels set up havent seen it yet though.

 

i know what chris is talking about with him it is difficult to work with, what he wants and make it work, cause i am one guy that gets to deal with him

 

Dovetail legal offices in Coralville has a pretty nice tank. They are out near Dovetail Golfcorse. There are also the tanks at the UIHC, I know there is at least 1 in the Pomerantz Pavilion.
