I'm starting to get brown spots on my dry rock. Tank has been up and running for 3 weeks now. Started with Dr Tims one and only. Test are showing good levels. Ammonia is at .25 and dropping.

These spots didnt happen in my Nano. Is this normal diatoms or something I should worry about.

    Temp is at 78

    Salinity is 1.026

    125 gl.

Sounds normal cycling to me. Every tank will go through "the uglies" (diatoms, hair algae etc) for the first couple of months. As long as your rock isn't leaching phosphates it will all pass with time. You may check and post your nitrates and phosphates (the two primary fuel of nuisance algae).
