$80 for a broken pump is a rip. You can argue it how you want. Go to a dealership, buy a used car for a good price and be told that it works great. They deliver it to your house and the first time you go to get into it, the engine doesn't start and you find out that it threw a piston You agreed to a price for a working car, and now have to pay another 50% of the sale price to get it working because the dealership won't take it back. Just because that price is still less than brand new MSRP and you have a repaired engine does not make it 'OK'. (not an exact example since you would obviously be given the opportunity to test drive and take it to a mechanic, but you see my point)

Again, the point is that if I was sold a pump that I knew had a bad impeller, then so be it, but I paid for a 100% working pump, not one that needs about 33% of the *brand new* price just to fix it so that it works like it should have from the start. At least the seller gave me back 50% of that 33%.

I keep trying to move on, but keep getting drug back into this. I guess I expect people to be honest or own up for things, whether intentional or not. "My momma raised me that way." Maybe it is just too much to expect the same these days.

So anyway, looks like I've got some mushrooms growning in my tank on the live rock that I got. Sweet. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif
