reef octopus has the best reactors, and I got mine at brs. Tey dont carry their own brand of bio pellet media any more, but I'm sure any brand will do

I have the Reef Octopus reactor and never had a problem with it when I ran biopellets. As far as the pellets, my vote is for Dr. Tim's NP Active Pearls. I used those sold by BRS and DR. Tim's....NP's tumbled much easier and consistently and, I preferred what they are made of.... /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

Although not fancy, I have had amazing results over the last 4 months with two little fishes reactor and a bit of modification. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=11586
The CAD light reactor looks amazing, but too rich for my blood - I spend enough on this hobby! But the cad one is the best looking reactor I have seen.

Some pvc and a trimmed silicone funnel make great tumbling and it wasn't too expensive. I can't imagine anything working much better. For pellets I have used DrTim's Aquatics NP-Active Pearls, they have lasted these 4 months only losing a bit of material. I think the reactor with pump and tubing was around $50, $30 for pellets and around $10 max for pvc and funnels (I bought extra to try more setups). I also needed a HOB unit.

I have always had nitrate trouble in my FOWL tanks with my tuskfish eating the clean up crew, but since using this setup nitrates are almost undetectable unless I feed extra heavy.

The Cadlight reactors are awesome. No clumping issues whatsoever.Pellets keep tumbling away and no messing around with external pumps. great all in one unit.

I have been looking at there skimmer and I have seen a couple of people say there coustomer service was not real great. Hopefully they have got that fixed. There skimmer and reactor both look great and are American Made.
