I checked with tasha6 and she doesn't have any available right now.  Anyone know where or who might have some?  Has anyone ever bought these online(If yes, where)?  Did they live and eat your aiptasia?  I'm desperate[IMG]

We will be farming them pretty soon, but it will be awhile. I will see if I can find some sooner for you.

They are not a quick fix, they do take time. It is when they reproduce in your aquarium is when it really starts taking them down. About a month I believe. They are also vulnerable to predators in your tank such as some wrasses or shrimp.

Peppermint shrimp will eat the smaller ones. If they are getting good meals otherwise they wont mess with them (IE eating the food you feed your fish & corals)

I have been looking for these for months now.

I'd be in on an order of berghias if I could be. I have one rock that has a couple dozen aiptasia by now, though they are really small yet. I wouldn't mind passing the berghias on once they take care of my problem either.

Berghias are generally pretty expensive, so be warned that you need quite a few to establish a breeding population and there is no guaranty that they will survive.

I've added them to my system twice. The first time they all died, the jury is still out on the second. It's true that they only eat aiptasia, but they have to live long enough to build up the numbers needed to fight an infestation...

As for peppermints and copperbands, they can work but they are hit and miss. I would argue that a Copperband is a bad choice because they are finicky eaters and once the aiptasia is gone (assuming they'll eat it) you have to find something else they will eat, or no more copperband...

Foo, You're right with the link [IMG]  Everything you ever wanted to know about them is right there. Whomever runs the breeding facility is long-winded [IMG]   It took me "forever" to get through their entire site before I started this thread[IMG]
