I've been away from my reef for a month, and got back to find that everything looked great. I have very good neighbors who took care of everything while I was gone. I've had some great growth in that month, especially on the green slimer, caps, and blue chalice. Lots of fun.

Good to hear your tank did well while you were gone. I am glad you were able to put the pump replacement issue to rest before you left. Welcome back to Iowa, you picked a warm week to come back! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

Further proof of my theory that one of the keys to having a successful tank is to just leave it alone and let it do it's thing...

Good to hear. I bet the difference in growth was real noticable after not looking at it for a month.

I love how when you look at your tank everyday it seems like nothing grows, but when you go away, even for a weekend, it weems like everything adds an inch.

Good deal! I opened this thread with concern, but it sounds like things went okay!

Lots of growth in some things and some others seemed to have stood still. The ones that grew were the ones that were well established, for the most part. Some of my newer frags are still getting settled in. That's fine.

I have three corals that were separated safely when I left-a tabling acro, a stylophora, and a blue iris acro. Now they are touching, and the stylophora is losing the battle in a couple of places. Most of it is great though. Sounds like a fragging opportunity is in my future.
