just wondering if anyone has any experience with these controllers.  im very intrigued with these and im thinking i may use one to control a LED fixture i plan on making in the future.
    any input would be nice.
    thanks

I dont  have one but ive read thru a few threads on rc and they are a very cheap controller to build that will do everything a apex or a profilux can do for hundreds less.  you need to know code which is why i havent  started one but from what ive read if following a build on rc the code is done and all is needed is to download it. ive been thinking about getting the reefangel it is an arduino based reef controller that can control leds. if you decide to build one start a thread and ill build along with ya.

This is what the Reef Angel uses. You can get the entire system ready to go for $200. Shaun

I might be crazy but i read a thread on rc that was 24 pages long where the project was dumped.. kinda upsetting to read all about this awesome Arduino kit for $80 then get to the end and find out the project got scraped. The plans for the PCB and the wiring schematic are posted on page 23 for download but no parts list or copy of the source code where some one could pick it up and continue on.

i am looking to start my own controller using the Arduino Mega, if there is anyone else interested in this please PM me or post on here. I am based in cedar rapids but we could work something out for a local meeting or even internet based communications if we wanted to get fancy with it. I am working on learning how to code for the micro controller now so I am prepared when mine arrives. also looking into probes so i can get an idea of connectors i'll need.
