I have finally received an "in stock" notification on something I want from Live Aquaria (top secret item) but my order is only about $50-$75. Since it's shortly before the holidays, I probably shouldn't go on a saltwater shopping spree, even though a Merry Christmas it would be!

Just curious if anyone else would be seriously interested in ordering, that's located in the Iowa City or Cedar Rapids area, and approximately how much you'd spend. If we can hit $225 to get free shipping, and my unnamed item is still in stock, I'd like to do it.

I have a few things i would like to get. When do you want to know the order by and when do you want to place the order?

I don't have a specific time in mind to order, as long as what I want is still in stock. (which is rarely in stock) So sooner would be better, I'm just waiting to see if I get enough interest to meet the $225. My order will be about $50 of that, maybe $75.

I am in Marion and if I ever get my plumbing and impeller for my pump, I will be ready to do a live order in a couple of weeks if people need to wait. But by all means, buy yourself some goodies before Christmas. Then, if you need something else, I will try to arrange something in early January.

Ok, if everyone PMs me a list of what they want with prices, as soon as the list totals $225, I can submit the order. If what I want goes out of stock before we reach $225, then I will not be doing the order at this time. We could always try again in the future if that happens or someone else can move forward with the group order...

At the time I'm ready to submit the order, I would need Paypal payment (or cash- but I think paypal is a better way) for their share, unless there is a way we can all pay Live Aquaria directly for the group order that I'm aware of. If there's a better way to do that part, let me know. If you include your email in your PM, I will forward you all confirmation and tracking information I receive when the order goes in.

The day the order is to arrive, I will make sure I am available to receive it and it would be up to everyone else to make sure they can meet with me in Cedar Rapids or Iowa City that day to pick up their purchase. Until you get it from me, it will still be in the bag. I'm not going to acclimate it to my setup to have it re-acclimated. If anything would go wrong with your purchase I'll contact Live Aquaria regarding their guarantee to get you the credit you are due just as if you placed the order directly, but I won't be personally responsible for your purchase.

And here is the holiday shipping schedule: http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/general.cfm?general_pagesid=49&ref=4620&subref=AA&cmpid=E-_-LAN-_-121412-_-SCHED

    Thanks,

AHHHHH what I want just went on sale today! I really want to get this done! This exciting change will save quite a bit on my order. I now would seriously like to get the order done tonight. Please PM me asap if you want to order.

If we do not reach $225, we can divide the $35 shipping by the number of people going in on the order....

Well, I have procrastinated getting my order in, but plan to put it in Monday, for Tuesday shipping and Wednesday delivery if still in stock.

If anyone is still interested in going in on the order, please PM me what you want with price by Monday morning. If $225 isn't met, we would split the flat $35 shipping by the number of people going in on the order, which won't be too bad.

Are you going to add some % to cover any PayPal fees?

I am not ordering anything, but I've heard that some organizers of these kind of things get stuck with something like 5% that PayPal takes off the top.

I'm fully aware paypal charges fees, I believe it's 3%, unless the payment is sent as a gift.

No, I had no intentions of adding additional charges to people's payments, or I would have said that. I figure if I'm saving on shipping, I can eat the paypal fees. If someone had a massive order, then I would relook at it, but I would think if someone had a large expensive order, they wouldn't be going in on a group order...

    Thanks for your concern.
